Most people use a search company. They perform a search term and click enter. Google offers many useful tricks. Although many of the tricks are known, it is useful to them again in a row to set. Nice to know that the founder of MySpace, Floris Rost van Tonningen, years ago launched a site that offered an overview of the tricks.
Below the 8 tricks.
1. Use adding “site: website.nl”
This will add only results website.nl
2. use Google as spell checker
You know the spelling of a word? Enter just by Google, and usually get to see the correct spelling.
3. Use Google as Calculator
For example, enter 5 * 5, and you get 25.
4. Use Google as a watch
For example, enter “time San Francisco” in.
5. Use Google as a conversion tool
For example, enter “100 euros to dollars” in
6. use the “exclude” option
For example, enter “raymond Spanjar – hyves” in
7. find specific files
For example, enter “blogs filetype: ppt”
8. find a numeric sequence
For example, enter “1960 .. 1970 olympics” in
The site of the founder of MySpace, Floris Rost van Tonningen is also a nice: soople.nl (pronounced “smooth”). He started the site after he sold iex.nl and just before he launched MySpace Koen Kam and Raymond Spanjar.
